As the new year begins, we are excited to announce some new programming notes that are sure to satisfy not only our seniors, but encourage the other generations in Edgewater to perfect the ‘Art of Neighboring”! Two different programs that will launch in 2016 are “Neighbor LINKS Lunches” and our “Dinner with Dave – How Neighbors LINK” dinner.

Come enjoy a lovely, free, spaghetti dinner and learn about the “Art of Neighboring”! A kick-off event for the new Colorado Senior Connections “Neighbor Links” program! Our program will be hosted by the CSC Interns and presented by Dave Runyon, author of “The Art of Neighboring”, a well know resource for communities to help better their sense of “neighboring”. Neighbor LINKS Lunches:
For both currently active CSC participants, seniors 60+ who have not attended one of programs before, and those younger generations that might work from home or are stay at home parents in the neighborhood who have a senior neighbor they would like to bring over for a lovely, free lunch! Each month, starting in March, on the second Wednesday of the month, Colorado Senior Connections will host a lunch for seniors with food from one of our local eateries! Edgewater’s Interim Care Manager
Ann Slavkin is our newest intern joining us here in the CSC Edgewater office! Ann is an BSW student from Metro State and will be overseeing care management needs for our Edgewater clients through May of 2016 while she completes her Bachelors program. When you see her or speak with her, let her know how much you appreciate her being here! We love her!
It’s All About Community! Your community. JFS Colorado Senior Connections is a comprehensive program utilizing partnerships to build a stronger community. We provide education, recreation, information and referrals, in-home services, and volunteer opportunities. We serve adults (55 and older) who live in Edgewater, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, and Denver. Our goal is to strengthen our community from within.
